Lettuce Stream invites the LP Gardens team to keep an eye on every sprouting idea. Built on a VLC media core, this lab tool turns RTSP feeds into a friendly local viewer so you can monitor greenhouses, garage builds, or studio sets without extra fuss.

Lettuce Stream Local

We tuned Lettuce Stream for teams who need reliable, private monitoring during experiments. The interface wraps VLC’s trusted playback inside a lightweight GUI that runs right on your laptop.

Drop in the credentials for your favorite RTSP feed and keep tinkering—perfect for watching lettuce beds sway, tracking parking prototypes, or keeping tabs on SaaSquatch Studio.

Boot it up locally

Spin up the viewer with a guided setup that keeps each step tidy and trackable.

Clone the greenhouse toolkit

Grab the project and enter the freshly downloaded folder.

Install viewer essentials

Use your preferred Python environment, then add the VLC-powered dependencies.
```
pip install -r requirements.txt
```
Launch and look around

Start the local server and plug in your RTSP feed at http://127.0.0.1:5000/.
```
python rtsp_viewer.py
```

Once the dashboard opens, paste in your RTSP details—username, password, IP, port, and path. VLC handles the rest, streaming your feed with the styling you choose.
